In the making: A skirt with a drag
For a school assignment we all had to make a skirt and take sewing patterns out of a pattern book. I don't think a lot of people know what that means.
Well, out of a pattern book (a magazine that has pictures of clothes and patterns of how to make those clothes) you can trace over a pattern on to a delicate piece of see-threw paper and cut it out. Then you needle it to a piece of cloth that you've cut out to approximately the same size as your pattern. This is briefly on how you use a pattern book and how you can eventually make a skirt, colbert, a pair of pants, jackets, shirts and more.
So this is what I sort of did at school to start making the skirt. It wasn't really a spectacular skirt so I decided to put a see-threw black cloth over it. Click "read more" to see the result of the actual skirt.

In the making: gloves & skarf
This is my school assignment. The assignment was to make an accessory that was extraordinary. I went to a pretty cheap shop and bought about 30 sticks you put in the ground to indicate a plant or a herb. The ends of these sticks were pointy and that is what I needed for my design. I cut the sticks a bit shorter and superglued them to the gloves and to the skarf. This is the result. There is a close-up of the gloves below (click 'read more')

In the making: 'Spiky gloves' for a school assignment
Yesterday I bought brown leather gloves for an assignment I got at school. I have to make an accessory: extraordinary. So I was thinking of gloves (preferably black) with huge 6 golden colored spikes sticking out the top. I found brown leather gloves in a thrift shop that were just the right model I needed. My idea is to spray spike shapes gold and stick them threw the gloves after I put holes in them. When I was browsing threw the shops for some spikes I only found some brushes with the ends shaped as spikes. Of course I'm going to yank the brushes off them because I only want to make use of the ends of the brushes. They were under a euro each, so couldn't really leave them there for that price. All in all I didn't really find exactly what I wanted (black leather gloves.. although maybe brown leather spiky gloves are more exclusive ) but it's a begin. I am really wondering how I'm going to let the spikes stay on the same place (That they don't fall out or something like that!) So I have to hammer on that. Click on 'read more' and you will see some pictures of my idea's for the 'spiky gloves'.
